The Roger Raveel Museum

RRM B_adThe Roger Raveel Museum is situated in a white, modern building. It was designed by the architect Stephane Beel. He designed a museum were the art of Roger Raveel could feel at home and be integrated in the local environment.
It is a building which integrates itself in the village in a surprised and detached way. It doesn’t reject the village. On the contrary, it finds its place there and emphasises the reality from it.

Inconspicuous strikingly, open and close, bright and enigmatic, it incorporates the lots as in a legible labyrinth of spaces. It looks towards the surroundings, allow them to be a part of it and withdraw into itself. Connoiseurs consider this as one of the fascinating and most poetic achievements of this architect.
