Filliers Grain Distillery

FilliersFilliers Grain Distillery: a tradition lives on. Around 1880 Kamiel Filliers great-great-grandfather of the present generation obtained the licence to found his ‘jenever roasting entrerprise’ in Deinze/Bachte-Maria-Leerne in succession of the former one, an agricultural distillery belonging to his uncle Ferdinand Filliers which was destroyed by fire in 1863. The Filliers family counts five generations of corn distillers, ever be established in Bachte-Maria-Leerne near Deinze in the province of East-Flanders. As one of the two still remaining farm distilleries in the region of Flanders, distillation now in the Filliers distillery is still made on the same proven quality as great-great-grandfather Filliers made this in his jenever roasting enterprise in 1880. Unique!
Filliers stokerijThe pure soft taste of the Old Fillliers, matured for years in barrels made of oak, praised by connoisseurs as a refined nature product, is to be compared with the best distilled. The fruit- and creamjenevers can no longer be denied from the offered range.

Even the Filliers Dry Gin 28 is now more than trendy. In the offer, you find also new gin tastes with a limited production. Do you know that ‘jenever’ is a derivative of the English word ‘gin’?

Goldlys’, the gold coloured beverage is one of the few Belgian whiskies which are ripening since years in the stockrooms of Bachte-Maria-Leerne. The name is a derivative of the Golden River, the surname of the Lys whereby the water coloured in gold through the flax retting. There are also a few ‘limited editions’ from this production.

The site is currently not to visit.  Presumably from October 2018 group visits are possible on demand.
The Filliers Meeting Centre is a unique location, appropriate for enterprises and workshops. The newest digital media are available on site.
