Unique in Sint-Martens-Latem is the, as a landscape protected golf course with 18 holes of the Royal Golf Club vzw. The domain was built in 1909, in a typical hill-like loose-sand-area. The differences in height vary between 11 and 20 metres. The industrial Albert Feyerick bought the domain 1892  and created ‘les buttes blanches’ as a golf course for the group of friends of the golfers from Sint-Amandsberg, near Ghent.
