The Roman church Ss. Peter and Paul in Deinze/Bachte is since 1974 classified as a protected monument. The church is a consist of just the main ship of which the oldest roman parts date back to the 11th century. The façade is crowned with a little hexangular clock tower from which every 30 minutes ‘Te Lourdes op de bergen’ ( in Lourdes on the mountains) can be heard. In front of the church a small pictoresque and traffic free square can be seen surrounded with artistic little houses.
